The Skyline Trail is currently under construction and will be the first new singletrack trail cut in Big Bear in the last 20 years. When finished it will be 15 miles of singletrack stretching along 2N10. The last build day of 2012 will be this Sunday 12/09/12. The first 3.5 miles are almost finished but volunteers are needed to complete the final touches. The Skyline Trail won’t happen without substantial local community support. If you ride bikes, hike trails, run cross country, ride horses, or just love nature, please come help out and be part of this monumental Big Bear project. The day will consist of 2 three hour sessions and will include a free lunch. Sessions start at 9am and 12:30pm and you will need to bring proper attire for working outside and also drinking water. It will be fun, light work, just raking and some banking so the trail drains properly. Bring a friend or family member too!For more info or to RSVP visit http://www.trailsfoundation.org/.
