It was a clean sweep for Team Bear Valley Bikes at last Weekends Kenda Cup Pro Super D. John Nobil was solid throughout the 2014 Kenda Cup Taking the win in Saturday’s Super D race and 2nd in Sunday’s xc race. This moved him into the top 3 in both the super D and xc overall series. Even with mechanical issues on his first run, Bear Valley Bikes’ new DH/all mountain specialist Ian Odom still managed 2nd place on the podium. With a 2nd place result in the previous race this moved Ian into 4th overall. Our Team captain and shop owner, Derek Hermon, missed the last race for a once in a lifetime trip to Europe. This weeks 3rd place result though, helped him hang on to 2nd overall in the Super D series. Completing the Super D clean sweep was Trey Jarno. This is Trey’s first pro season and with his consistent results he took the overall win for the Kenda Cup Pro Overall Series! Well done to Stuart Gonzalez, also in his first season as a pro, for 3rd overall in the endurance series with some tough competition. Also to Mark Blakeslee for 2nd overall in the Cat 1 xc Series and to Kadi Niinberg for a first place overall in the womens cat 3 xc series. Thanks to all the Bear Valley Bikes who came out and raced for us and to Sho-Air and Team Big Bear for putting on some great races!
